Mine was the A/C. Replaced the tensioner, idler, and waterpump before the belt melted on the pulley. I just got a belt without a/c and no more squeak. (and no more a/c)

So...how do I find the correct torques for all these pulleys...checked the service manual in the faq section and couldn't find them...could only find the one for the idler pulley.

Also...how do you check to see or adjust you belts alignment.

I like the idea of installing the belt without AC...that would be a good temporary bandaid if that is the problem.

To check alignment..... stand beside the truck, close one eye.... and look at the belt from the side. All pulleys MUST be in the same plane.

Should be a table of torque specs in the FSM.......
