Yet another problem with my dodge help please!!
ok i got a 95 dodge ram 1500 extended cab 4x4 it has a 5.2L in it and its automatic i bought this truck for 2,000.00 from a cop..... need i say more?? anyways so far i have done a complete tune up new wires new plugs new coil, then my four wheel drive wasnt working found out vaccum lines came undone easy fix then the camshaft position sensor went out i replaced that then my spider gears broke in my rear end got a spider rebuild kit and had a mechanic take care of that, then my rear end went out on me and left me stranded on the freeway i replaced that and NOW my transmission wouldnt go into gear it was running fine no weird noises or anything i went to get my son and had to do a turn and i had to put it into reverse to complete it when i did it made a strange noise i wanna say a kinda grinding noise and then i put it into drive and it moved fine i made it bout a block then it wasnt moving very wheel then it wouldnt drive at all just sat there and reved up so i put it into first gear it moved and i got over a bridge when i pulled over on the side of the road i got out and checked to see if it was outta tranny fluid it was good and full so i got back in the truck and put it in reverse it barely moved and i put it into low gear and tried to go it moved but not very well so i had to pull over again i turned it off and started it and put it into gear again and then it drove but it stopped going again so im wondering what you guys think it could be if i need to have the transmission rebuilt or if you think its something stupid like a transmission solenoid or something your guys help was very useful in the passed so im hoping your knowledge can help me yet again thank you and i appreciate it soo much!!!

My transmission wont go into gear. It was running fine, no weird noises or anything. Then, upon shifting into reverse to complete a turn, the truck made a strange grinding noise, when I put it back into drive it moved fine.
I made it about a block and the truck started having difficulties; then it wouldnt drive at all, just sat there and revved up. I put it into first gear and it started moving.
I got over a bridge (distance/angle of the bridge?) I got out and checked the tranny fluid and it was full, got back in and put it into reverse and it barely moved. I put it into low gear and gave it gas. It moved, but not very well, so I pulled over again, turned it off and started it, then put it into gear again and it drove, but it stopped shortly thereafter.
I'm wondering what you guys think it could be? Do I need to have the transmission rebuilt, or do you think its something stupid like a transmission solenoid or something?
Y'all's help has been very useful in the past, so I'm hoping your knowledge can help me yet again. Thank you, and i appreciate it soo much!!!

He was just trying to be extra helpful. A lot of people on here, when they see a post like yours, will stop reading after the first or second line and hit their browser's "Back" button. The easier it is to read, more people are willing to help you, and you get more/better answers.

I'm willing to hazard a guess that I agree with Mad_Scientist, you may need a rebuild. Did you check the tranny fluid in Neutral or Park?

well sorry guys didnt do so hot in school as you can tell and english was a horrible subject too much ADHD! guess next time ill save everyone's time and just take it to a mechanic damn.... lmao so set a side the grammer and punctuation can anyone help or no?

ok and see when you let it sit and then fire it up again it will drive fine then when it warms up it goes outta drive again so if the tranny was shot would it still do that? thanks again for the help you guys
i don't think i would even bother dropping the pan. you'll either find nothing, or some broken pieces of band or band anchor or snap ring or something else that you probably can't do anything about. i think the grinding sound is significant that something's not where its supposed to be. and then you'll just waste $60 filling it back up with fluid.

well im not sure if i would necesarily describe it as a grinding sound i mean it kind of did sound like that but not really its hard to explain and it only made that noise once for me when i put it in reverse and tried backing up after that it just felt real powerless and barely moved so im not sure so im thinking that it might be the transmission its self also which im not too excited for this truck has been nothing but problems for me so if it is the transmission im done with the truck it was my first dodge and have to really say its been a disappointment for me... oh and also im located in pocatello, idaho
