Lol. Farmboy . . . anyway . . . I think that driving tests should be much more challenging. Any monkey can put a car in a parking spot and stop at a stop sign. But we all know that there is so much more to safe driving than that. There needs to be an "avoid the obstacle", "swerve around the car in front of you", "slide on a skid pad", "stop the car without touching the brake pedal", and an "Oh no, my toyota keeps going and going and going" test. Stuff like that. Driving is life or death, every time. You've all ended up sideways in the opposite lane doing 50 because some moron just happened to think making a left turn automatically gives them the right-away. Its not sunshine and rainbows. Its serious business out there.

And with voting, I simply think you should have to write in the name of the person you are voting for. Anything beyond changing how the votes are cast would require a change to the constitution, IMHO. Its sickening how many people simply strike D or R or I every year.

i joined the corps at 18, and turned 19 the first day of boot camp.. that made for an interesting day too.. I knew one dude who was 17, and a PFC.. He couldn't buy tobacco.. no joke.. we can send them off to distant lands and kill people, but heaven forbid they burn a 'boro whilst tipping a bud..

Ah, but Purpl, we don't hate YOU. You actually show some maturity, manners, and common sense, not to mention that you know more about these trucks than a fair number of 'mechanics' I have had the misfortune to deal with.

Pretty sure you can still get a work permit, but its a pain in the *** to get a friend got one but it took him 3 months after proving that he couldnt ride a bus at the hours he worked. But dont get caught driving somewhere else or you lose it till your 18.

And driving age is fine since most people have jobs by 16, but what needs to change is the driving test, needs to be more like getting your motorcycle license.

And voting not going to go there as I know I should know alot more than I do, be happy I wasnt old enough to vote last time around

And maybe you do need to wait until your allowed to get your license, theres alot more to driving then be able to physically drive Im one of the few maybe 2 or 3 that dont have a crash they caused. The only accident I was in involed me sitting on my tailgate in a parking lot

The boy is obviously not ready to drive, I believe its time he sits down and watches some real live footage of fatal crashes that we had to watch in drivers edu. You need to get back into your little boy panties and take a look around!

My 19th was a month into Air Force BMT and the TI had a grand ole time delivering up my gifts all day. He darn near got me to blow my cool in the chow hall at dinner. A week later Ronnie RayGuns got elected president...

It's only the more vocal of the worst representatives of your generation that people dislike, sometimes intensely. This was also true of my own generation once upon a time, but we had less social interaction with older folks so were less visible to them. And truth be told, I think that the system we allegedly (but do not, and cannot) control is letting far too much of your generation down.

This doesn't mean that I don't often find myself wishing someone who could get away with it would slap the teeth out of some idiot teenager's head.
