like i said i can do it for 700 on the tranny and it starts up fine and runs damn good 1800 for a 95 1500 aint bad i dont hink but thats why im asking your opinion

high they think their trucks are gold haha i cant find a decent one for 3000 everythings like 5-6000

Then even requiring a trans rebuild, that is probably a good deal.

thats what i was thinking id put like another 1500 in it and i think it would be decent a truck for awhile

Well, have a look at some of the common problem areas for these trucks, you already know the trans is bad, so, look at the plenum, wheel bearings (front), rear brake lines, etc, and maybe you can talk him down yet some more.
