I got a high volume unit from advance, don't recall the brand name. Had a lifetime warranty though... it was under 50 bucks. Changing it out really isn't that bad. Boat load of bolts, and there it is. Keep in mind.... it is indeed a messy job, and I got bit by the little bit of oil that stays above the pump, and comes out when you drop it..... twice..... even after being forewarned.....

Why not try a Jet performance chip? takes 5 min to install and is good for around 40-50 hp, I like mine.

you guys do the hydroponic thing right? You may want to consider keeping your product for sales/profit only..

there is not one single mod that will give that kind of bump..

if you were to s/c, you'd need a tune at the absolute minimum- and you wouldn't last long..

an aggressive cam could bump you that much, but again- not on it's own.. in addition to a tune you'd have to address valve springs and push rods at the minimum..

speaking of which, and directed to the original poster: what do you intend on doing with this rig? I wish like hades I'd had put a sausage cam in mine when I took it down for intake manifold/timing chain/water pump/rocker rollers.. they aren't that expensive, and you're almost there at that point.. just a few more hours and you'd have a torque monster..

I don't know if the design of hi volume have changed much since I was using them in the 70's but a hi volume pump by design tends suck a stock pan dry. We were always required to run a deep sump pan to keep enough oil around.
So I don't see the need to do this mod in a lightly modded engine. Maybe a hi pressure pump to take up the slack in your hi mileage bearings...just change your oil regularly, use a quality brand and a good filter.
Don't spend money where you don't need to...
...same with a jet chip. Those things rate right up there with throttle body spacers in usefulness. For every guy that claims 50 hp there are 20 guys who claim they're crap.

I had E3's that were misfiring like crazy. So I switched up to regular NGK's and those things are solid...for me, that is.

I just always have wanted the most out of my truck/car so I tend to mod them till the day I sell it and start all over...i use this truck to pull my mud truck. And I plan on taking it to gateway dragstrip and see what it will do ( 14's would b nice). As far as a cam goes I am still thinking on it the rig is going to b down at least another week... So if u know a spot to get a can for around 200 bucks let me know

With the SCT out there...I would not even consider B&G.

Dave Kasper is a dick, and quite frankly, he could less about you or your truck.

Get an SCT from Hemifever. Cheaper & better.

EDIT: with the 21's and the few mods you have, you might need to pull fuel.
