Knock sensor code tells me something is screwed up in the PCM. That IS the correct interpretation, checked a couple other sites...... same thing.

That code is not listed anywhere for a Dodge Ram.

Have a look at the generic OBDII codes list. You won't find it specifically for the dodges, as they don't even have a knock sensor...... That is what leads me to believe the PCM is screwed up. It is whining about a sensor is doesn't have, and shouldn't even be looking for.

alright, part two of the code being gone. ive taken it on the freeway and put it under WOT. been running around town since then. so far once again no code. we will see what tomorrow brings. i talked to the guy i bought my sct from, he emailed me a tune specifically for the airgap. it has a different fuel curve.

no, because even on stock it came up. and the only other person that flashed my computer was the dodge dealership for a pinion factor, ie:tire size.

Do you think you could have a loose or compromised connection at the PCM which is accounting for funky readings?

Long shot, I know... But maybe?

anything is possible. i had my feet and hands all over the inside bay of the truck! so you never know. the only thing that i remember putting back that would be questionable, was the temperature coolant sensor, or whatever its actual name is. its a small sensor that goes into the intake, near the lower radiator connector. it was a little wobbly.

That sensor if responsible for fuel curves as well. I had one fail reading max signal toward the hot side, and any amount of throttle beyond idle caused massive spark knock.
