I've been looking for it a long time too HeyYou.. The only thing I can find is NOT freeware.. and the cheapest of those is $2500... Of course, I haven't tried Pirate Bay yet..
A while back I even contacted SCT.. to get into that, you'd hafta chunk up a minimum order, and attend a few classes.. that would run you around $8k or so when it is all said and done, and then you'd have a learning curve to get good at it.. I'm sure they teach you basics, but I doubt any more than that..
and still yet- talking to folks (that really strange fella J. Mercedes, that runs Southeast Performance namely)- I keep hearing about 'hidden parameters' that are, apparently, exactly as the name implies.. Without information on where to find them or what to do with them once you've found them, getting a really hot tune would be impossible...
A man would need a lot of time on their hands, and a lot of patience- and a solid working knowledge on how engines work to start with to get good at that game..

I think SCT sells a 'personal' package for like 500 bucks. But, I think it only allows tuning ONE vehicle. Not sure how they manage that, or, if its just some EULA thing.
If these were GM vehicles.... there would literally be REAMS of information available on EVERY tiny little aspect of tuning/optimization. There are entire communities dedicated to opening up the code, and getting folks started on doing their own custom tuning. There is a niche market for the GM OBDI systems for EEPROMs, ZIF sockets for the ECM's, etc. etc. etc. (I am still a member of such a site, have been since about 99.... don't own one of the cars the site is dedicated to anymore though......)
Time is one thing I seem to have PLENTY of...... Money? Well...... they say money talks, but, all it ever says to me is "Goodbye", and even that, at barely a whisper....
I am still hopeful though.

Is this the cable you are using to connect your PC/MAC/whatever operating system you are using to your OBDII port?

real close...
here
btw- the one I linked comes w/ two discs.. using the diagnostic application I linked earlier, and one of the applications on the disc is necessary to see all the sensors, which is kinda a PITA.. but it is what it is, and hard to biyatch about for being free..

I've seen it.. and I have some experience with coding, but I don't have a clue what to make of it.. My guess is it's proprietary..
I'm thinking, w/o some form of instruction or editing software, every character is as good as gobbledegoop.. I don't even know if I could discern a table from a limiter or an ampersand..
some of the military devices I work on are similar.. we transmit a code via radio modem, but it's useless w/o the key.. when I put it in the right db, it magically turns to plain language anyone could understand.. I figure this is much the same- but only a few have the keys..
what were you saying about source code Ugly? Something to the effect: "Can we have it, pleeeeeeeeeeease?"
