3500 coil springs on 1500
i believe your original statement is correct, but i would still like know if there is a difference, will be interesting to know... it has always been said that the v-10 and diesel are all the same, its the v-8 2500's that had the lighter duty, shorter springs
the v10 springs and diesel spings have different part numbers at the dealer. found that out from another member on here who has a v10. he gained 1.5" by installing diesel springs.
When you took out your stock springs and installed the v10s were the v10s taller? I ask because the diesel coils i got were about 3/4" shorter than stock, and i thought that the much lighter engine would compensate for the coil not compressing too much in order to provide a 2" lift.
These diesels that you are putting in are from a 3500, correct? I'm not sure if i was reading stuff wrong or what, but i had 2wd 2500 diesel coil springs installed on my 1500 2wd and i maybe got a quarter inch of a lift. Should i get 3500 diesel 4wd coils? I didn't think they would fit?

but on that same note, 2wd 3500's have a straight axle, the same setup as 4wd just with a straight tube, so dont order anything for 2wd 3500 because it will NOT fit any other 2wd trucks
the 4wd coils will not exchange with a 2wd completely different setups, ebay does have some cheap options for coil spacers for the 2wd about $40 IIRC if you are looking fro a little lift

Not ALL 2WD 3500's have a solid axle, only the trucks with the 10,500GVWR have the solid front axle. I've seen plenty of IFS 2WD 3500's. Hell, I saw a 96-97 today in the Lowes parking lot.

It would just be a matter of verifying the GVWR of the truck that you want parts from I would imagine.
ya but you couldnt imagine how many people have no idea dodge ever had a 2wd straight axle, and list parts for the worng vehical compatabilty
A lot of people think the 4x4's have IFS.
