little black box under the hood??

Im confused as to how one mistakes the "hood" of your vehicle for being.. well, inside one's vehicle. Unless the hood is in fact inside the vehicle, in which case, dear god what did you do????? Is the engine also inside the cab? Does the truck still run? We could be looking at a whole new setup for the Ram here!

Mid-engine, flat 8, with divorced t-case.

Looks more like an ignition kill switch mounted under the dash. electrical tape is new and black box looks new. New means within last couple of years. I would look at black box and see if there are any labels indicating who made it and model number. Then do Google for that info.
