Engine needs three things to run:: Gas, Spark, Compression...

You say you are getting Gas?

You have decent compression?

So you need to troubleshoot the ignition.

Pull out a sparkplug and visually confirm that it is getting spark, if it is, you should have ignition. Fuel pressure does seem low.

Have you tried seeing if the cat was blocked by removing the upstream O2 sensor?

If there is no blockage, you are getting fuel and you are getting ignition, then it points to a more serious but far more rare problem..

So I would focus on Fuel and ignition, but do you have the means to check your compression?

I double checked and I have 40psi at the fuel rail.
Im pretty sure that I have good compression but Ill pull a plug and check it.
I pulled a plug wire yesterday after I checked the coil for spark and I had spark but Ill check again while Im checking the compression.
I pulled the pre cat 02 sensor and nothing really changed except for the backfiring out the exhaust while cranking at WFO got louder.

I also just pulled the (new in July) distributor cap and the rotor is spinning while I crank it.
Could I be having a cam or crank position sensor issue?
or possibly an ECU problem?

got a noid light? See if the injectors are even firing. You can pick 'em up at most any autoparts store.

Noid light? Not sure what that is.
I have a test light and a multimeter.

noid light plugs right into the injector connector, and flashes when the PCM fires that injector. Good way to test the the PCM is indeed firing the injector.

sounds like you looking for a cam or crank trigger malfunction. lot of times it the crank sensor (located in the rear of motor left of the distributer about 5 inches) they are known to just **** out this will allow the coil to have spark but not have it fire at the correct time. other then this as said before you need three things compression fuel/air and spark.

and as for work maybe its time to buy a $200 beater with a hearer and get to work before you dont have work.
