Default Have oil leak need help!!

I have an oil leak and it seems to be coming from somewhere under the ac/alternator rack, but not sure. I wouldn't think it would be head basket cause there are no other symptoms it a crack in block. I was hoping there was some other component on the pass. side of vehicle

I know its kinda hard to see where but I thought it was strange how it seemed to spray or travel somehow all over pass. side but I can't see anything like that, but I do see pooling under rack.

Valve cover leaking? Check for tightness, they commonly come loose.

Also the oil pressure gauge seems to be reading higher than normal maybe around 60, but if left to idle it'll go back to normal around 40.

Looks like the valve cover gasket, those are relatively easy to change. Actually this truck has farily easy to change gaskets and seals.

The Front main being the hardest. Gasket and seal leaks are very common in high mileage vehicles, some people just let them go, as they rarely take more than a quart per oil change.

I like to have a very clean engine though, so I can't stand them.

Would just go to rockauto and buy some good rubber ones.

Looks like it is coming from the timing chain cover or maybe from the front seal. I would clean of the area with brake cleaner and then run her to see where the oils coming from.

Yeah I figured id start with valve cover. I'm hoping its not chain cover or front seal. The rear seal has been out forever so I'm already at like a quart a week and now I'm like a quart every few days, when I was low on oil my oil gauge would read high and when I filled it, it would return to normal. Now it reads high most of the time. Do you think its related?

You know the rear seal is rather easy to replace right?

Don't have to drop either. Just the oil pan, and loosen up the main caps a bit. Comes right out. (gotta remove the rear main.... good opportunity to change the oil pump....)
