Smile Help

My son's 99 ram 1/2 ton 4wd short box 318cu. engine has a issue when ever it is wet out that it will not start after sitting. Like something gets wet i/m guessing. After it sits for a day or to then it will fire right off.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check the seal at the back of the hood, right above the intake manifold. It might be allowing water to drip onto the distributor......

If you ignition parts are old, that may also be an issue. (cap, rotor, wires, plugs.)

sometime when it won't crank - spray the hell out of the distributor cap from various angles with WD-40. if that doesn't work, spray the pcm connectors and wiring harness on the passenger side firewall.
