What would cause this? I've talked to several people around my house and all i got was answers like my track bar is bad, the front end is bad and my favorite, your truck is too old to be on the road. The front right tire is worm mostly on the right side at a continuous angle, the other three are fine. I lifted the front end and checked the ball joints, they were fine, no play at all. How does one check the track bar?

 

lol. my 81 is 30 years old and don't pull to the left or right. i would say if the front end of your truck is tight your truck might need an alignment or you may need a bit more air in the right tire.

 

Get an alignment done it is defiantly out and if something is bent they'll find it.


And give this person a good hard smack in the face.

 

Yeap deffently time for an alignment. If you are going though the expense of an alignment might as well as replace some of those front end parts. Sure beats doing an alignment and 6 months later finding out a ball joint was on its way out, then having to redo the whole mess.

 

It's going in for an alignment for sure but i just wanted to seen what other might think. As for the peckerhead who said my truck was too old, i told him he was to old to be driving on the road, needless to say he left with a not so happy look on his face.

 

To check the track bar, park someone in the drivers seat, turn the key on, but, don't start the engine. Have said someone CRANK the wheel back and forth, while you take a look under the front.... watch both ends of the track bar, if there is any slop, in either end, replace it.

Replaced front driver's side hub bearing, all is good again!
