I would think. that if you refilled the tranny and started the truck and put it in neutral, engaging the pump, you would spew fluid like a mad man. That is if the pan is solid.
I think you'll find it quickly enough.
I don't even see it dripping when the pump is engaged. It's maddening. It can't be leaking that badly since it's not even losing any transmission fluid. I mean, if it is it has to minuscule since it's barely registering a loss on the dip stick. I just can't figure out why/how I had a 6"x6" pool on the driveway after it sat for a few days this weekend. It is for sure transmission fluid I got off the driveway ... good old sniff test, and it's pink fluid. So, it's not oil. (My first thought, actually.)

Did you verify that it actually came from your truck? Was your trans low on fluid??

Yeah, it came from my truck. I looked at the bell housing and it's for sure got pink trans fluid on it. Fluid isn't low, and hasn't been since I bought the truck. It was about a quart low before I bought it, put 1 quart in it about 2 months ago and it's still just about right where I left it so I know the leak can't be that bad. I just don't like leaking trucks, especially with a brand new $15,000 driveway.

Could it be the transfer case?
I say this because my transfer case leaks like a siev and I have a three by three oil spot under the truck as we speak

Yes, yes it is. Mostly slimy mud, but some of that is the recent leak.

If I had my way I would have put down gravel, but I live in the 'burbs and they've got laws around here. Six car driveway + garage, 6" thick on a pretty steep grade for the first 1/2 of the driveway = expensive job. I wanted asphalt or gravel, and the city just wouldn't allow it. Pretty sure they've got their hands in the concrete business.
