Transmission ID
I have a 2wd automatic transmission pulled out of a 99 Ram Van 3500. I have been having some trouble figuring out exactly what it is. The only markings I can find are 064-4 cast into the bellhousing and a sticker on the side with the numbers TPKTK022921115 and P52119822AA I also looked above the oil pan where the ID should be stamped and only found the numbers from the sticker again. I googles the numbers and the second one found some results for a 99 Ram Van but it was all in Dutch or German, something I couldn't read. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Also another question...I friend of mine has a chance to pick up a 97 Ram with a 318 with a "bad tranny" the owners says "it's a sensor that broke some prongs or something" so it may just need a new sensor but if not will the 2wd tranny work in a 4x4 truck? I would assume the t-case would bolt right on in place of the 2wd tailpiece but I thought I read somewhere the 2wd and 4wd trannys have a different output shaft size?

That tranny behind your V6 should be a 42RH aka A-500. Look at the sticker on the underside of the hood and see what is says. The RFE trannies never came behind a magnum engine as far as I know. Besides a 1994 is hydarulically controlled so no names with E in them.
The 3.9L V6 has the same bellhousing 5.9L and 5.2L.
The 2wd to 4x4 conversion needs the OD unit swapped off the 2wd to the 4x4. Problem is that is the tranny is bad there can be a lot of material in the OD unit which will move through your new tranny and destroy it.
