Doesn't come with the other band? I would replace that one as well.....

If you have a stock motor, bumping stall speed a couple hundred RPM, probably wouldn't be so bad.

You have a locking TC. Don't go with a non-lockup. You won't like the results.

My thoughts exactly, you might wanna order that separately.... no reason not to replace it if you're doing everything else. You don't wanna have to pull it apart again when the front band goes out.

Actually that would be the rear band that is missing in the kit. The kickdown band is in the front of the tranny and the low/reverse band is in the rear. It is very common for kits to not include the low/reverse band. I do not know why though, maybe they rarely are bad. It only like $30 though so you might as well replace it.

the rear band is still in good shape altho i agreed with you guys about getting a new one to prevent wear and tear on the bands.

im still puzzled about frictions and steel clutch's order in the forward clutches...it seems thats the problem with the truck not moving in the first place.

That is bizarre.... they're supposed to alternate (steel, friction, steel, etc). At least that's the way they are in every rebuild write-up I've ever read.....

started the engine by jump starting...and let it run for few minutes. then i shifted down to Reverse, it engaged as i expected..it actually rolled back, just smiling, also had a helper checking the trans fluid level...then i put on Neutral..all good. then I put on Drive, it rolled forward and we high fived thru the window. as it was on drive, the trans fluid went on low so got extra atf4 fluids to top off once i get the new battery installed..then would take her out for a test drive to see how the other gears shifts
