Default Good Deal? what do you think?

Hey, kinda new to the forums wanted to know your opinions, i bought a 97 dodge ram for 1500 bucks its a 1500 v8 5.9 with 160000 miles, its metallic red extended cab and it came with a cap its rust free and paint is still glossy except for the hood witch looks like someone was cutting drywall or something with a razor and put a hell of alot of scratches on it its a lariem with power windows and towing package. i bought it knowing the rear end needed work and i had help from my father we took it out it was a bearing on the ham...we ended up changing all the bearings plus wheel bearings while we had it out and put it back using dial indicator and all. total cost for part was 100 plus another 130 for drums and rear breaks they were shot...Anyway, was wondering what everyone thought about it cause im starting to think it was alot of work for a truck with alot of miles LOL guess its a little late haha. and any tips or advise would be appreciated being everyone on here seems to be pretty die hard dodge fans....and great forum! alot of good advise on here! thanks....-Rich T.

I have BFGoodrich AT's. They're good tires, but they wear rather quickly. Too quickly for the price

bought my Ram for $1800 with 186K, already had 4.10 gears, new radiator, new fuel pump, and fresh rebuilt transmission.

I've put about 7-8K into it the past year and a half, and honestly, i dont regret it at all, i love my truck....its never taken me off the road....even when my transfer case blew it would still drive (since i took off front driveshaft)....but i LOVE working on vehicles, its my passion, and i replace things that dont need to be replaced...about 70% of my truck is new parts.

But the truck has 207K right now and runs like it just rolled out of the factory. Dont regret it one bit....although it has given me some headaches, bu nothing that i didnt forgive it for

In the end, yes good deal

i paid $900 for mine it came with 3in coil spacers and rear blocks and was on flat tires and had 220k on it... i've got some rust not to bad... well i put new rotors and calipers up front... needs some things here and there but hey even $1500 doesn't buy you much ever since "Cash for Clunkers" used cars prices went up...

you got a good deal from what i have heard
