Default Dodge 9.25 options..

What are you guys running for a posi or locker?

Been looking at a few different setups but most seem to be way out of my price range. I've been looking at these three...

-Yukon Dura-grip
-Spicer Trac-loc
-Lock-Right

Which one would you choose?

Well, I don't think that Yukon makes one for the 9.25". So I would stay away from that.
The Lock-Right should do better than the Trac-loc.

This is what I got
http://www.xtremeterrain.com/chrysle...liplocker.aspx
You can find them for less, but the installation is relatively simple.
I only got about 1000 miles on it so far. But so far so good.

I keep seeing the Yukon Dura-grip for the 9.25 on Ebay but i wonder if they are full of manure.

I had an open carrier when I installed mine.
I'm not sure if it will fit carrier with posi. You can try to contact manufacturer and see if they have this specified somewhere.
Your other option is to get an open carrier (from junkyard) and use it to install Powertrax.
But you'll have to set up your backlash again.

If i get a used open carrier from the scrap yard and get the Powertrax, it will cost me just as much as getting a Truetrac.

At that point maybe i should look at an Auburn LSD?

Do you think the Powertax is worth the extra money or should i just buy a Truetrac? Keep in mind i will be going to a 4.56 or 4.88 gear when all is said and done.

I have an Auburn limited slip and have been very happy with it. How do you use your truck? Do you need a full locker, or just a posi/limited slip? For full locker, Detroit/Eaton is the only way to go IMO.

during 9 months out of the year it doesn't matter but for hunting seaon and when i put the boat in the water i need some serious traction.

I will be using a mini spool in the front, Maybe i can get away with using an Auburn in the rear?
