Hmmm...
So, I think I have wild vents. Or its starting to happen. Every now and then my vents just turn on by themselves, or I only have low and high. Or they just dont work. But the vents work still, on all settings.
Also, is there a pulley that relates to the A/C? I think Im mistaken. But I do have a pulley towards the bottom of the engine(near the fan) that isnt rotating evenly, its a little wobbly. I also smell something that is a little hot, so its coming from that area. Could it be the water pump?
Also, do u-joints have anything to do with power steering? I have one going out and its making my power steering pump whine(it wasnt after I replaced my other u-joint and the whining almost stopped).
What goes out or starts to go out around 100XXX on our trucks? I hate not knowing this and asking sooo many question I need to haha
(EDIT): I also hate it when subs go out! haha

Probably wild vents.
If it is the pulley that the fan attaches to, that is the water pump. A/C compressor is on top of the engine, on the drivers side. (the other one up there is the alternator.) If it is the one below the pulley the fan mounts to, that is the crank pulley/harmonic damper, and needs to be fixed RIGHT AWAY.
Power steering pump whine is generally due to low fluid level, or.... a worn out pump. They will whine for quite some time before failing completely. (just like kids....)
Erm. Everything?

Im pretty sure its gettin worn out. It still works, it likes to whine like kids(sometimes loud, sometimes not).
And yes, gracias amigo!

I could be wrong, but that kind of sounds like something with the blower motor, or maybe the switch? The wild vents is when the vents won't hold at the position you select, like floor, face, defrost. Under acceleration they go up to the defrost position and then when you let off the gas they go back to the position you selected. But as far as I know they don't actually turn off or turn on by themselves or have any thing to do with the actual speed of the air coming out of them.

I have a few things I need to replace. I know the power steering pump needs to, obviously the water pump. Also the usuals and a u-joint. Ahhh I just love owning a vehicle at this type of milage.
