sending unit is on the passenger side of the distibutor. u can use a cresent wrench but they do make a socket just for the oil sending unit, and its wayyyyyy easier.
if the sending unit dont fix it, i would just throw a mechanical guage on and ground the original sending unit connection to itself, and call it a day.

A crescent wrench? Those are for hacks. IIRC, the oil sending unit has a 13mm fitting at the base to remove it.

I'd like to be about 3" wide from shoulder to shoulder in order to fit in certain areas so I can see what the %&*()%()@ is causing parts to get hung up. This would also help in finding those hidden fasteners.

thats funny i usually get mad and turn into the HULK and start breaking things. lol you feel better until you have to open your wallet to buy more parts.
