My Dakota 6 cyl does the same thing. Has been doing it for YEARS. But, it only does it when it's cold, meaning, not warmed up. AND, it only does it in the Spring and Fall when the climate is changing. Runs perfect all Summer and Winter. I've had several mechanics look at it, including the Dodge dealer, and nobody has figured it out. Never leaves a code.
