Bought a Honda, need advice for "proper" parking of the RAM
So I can't afford to put $95 in my truck every week so I went out and bought a 2008 Honda Civic that gets about 26 city 36 highway. Anyways, I don't want to sell my Ram but I want to park it but my question is how often should I start it or drive it around the block or something? I don't want to just let it sit there for an extended period of time because I hear that is worse on a vehicle than driving it everyday. Thanks!

Start it once a week, let it reach normal operating temperature and go five minutes more before shutting it down. Once a month, take it out for a 50 mile drive. Change the oil every six months, every three if the weather goes below freezing. Don't park on dirt -- if that's all you've got, get some pavers at the lumber yard and put them down for the tires to stand on. Don't neglect washing it when it's dirty.
You'd do well to get an underhood trickle charger (battery maintainer) on it and keep it plugged in.

Sad to hear it man... I'm lookin at doing the same thing. Been seeing about a used motorcycle on craigslist for quite a while now... only problem with that is, if get something capable of going fast, I will go fast.
I am currently weighing the cost of fuel for my truck versus the costs of inevitable speeding tickets/possible hospital bills I will accrue riding a bike.

well if you parking it out side i would dive in about once a week,
because like in ohio were im at we have alot moisture in the air,, (rain) and that will put rust spots on your rotor in about 2 days with out moving
so i try to drive mine about every week, even if its just a few miles over to a buddys house,, that way it will clean the rotors up and get things moving..ect

My truck is parked at my work right now since ive been taking my tow truck home....going to be this way for a while.....in the past week ive driven it maybe 100 yards......
But what im going to do, is start it once a day, let it run in neutral for at last 2-3 minutes, so the trans gets fluid through it, and move it forward and backward a little to shave the rust of my rotors, and get fluids moving....
thats my plan, but what other hae suggested would probably be better.
