The pressure sensors were notorious for becoming saturated, and not working properly, when the were new from the factory.......

MonteC, who had the trans thread, that is now archived in the FAQ section... (he seems to have fallen off the forums for quite some time now....) was a big advocate of these. Fixes one of the flaws of the dodge transmissions. (and that's where I got the part number from... his thread.)

Here check this out its alittle cheaper. http://www.transmissioncenter.net/dodge.htm.
Its about 5/8 down the page.

Dodge "RE" Governor Solenoid to GM Pressure Control Solenoid Conversion Kit

#REC. This kit was specifically designed to handle higher base pressure in high performance applications and to improve the reliability of the governor solenoid in normal use. In performance units the pressure can flood the Dodge solenoid and cause a no shift condition at full throttle. This is the fix. Fits all rear wheel drive RE model transmissions. Cost $149.00 Qty 12345

idk how to drive auto so i cant really answer anything but to go standard. also i have to say ever one of there videos i watch either that gas light is already on or it comes on in the video. im going to have to assume that the saying" you cant fill'em because your always fixin 'em" is only said to me lol but i would have to say its time for a shift kit if your going to be in the tranny and all why not just do it up right and be done with it for good.

ya my thought's exactly.. i was just thinking bout that if i have to replace that. and i was already gonna get a shift kit ill knock both out at the same time.. just as soon as i get the money for both.. i can drive my truck the way it is cause it only happens when im wot from 1st to 2nd. so i guess no more wot runs till i get shift kit and the new sensor..

You dont want that GM JUNK in your tranny. Newer larger unit Transtar part number 12432A or Borg Warner part # 50185. $46 plus the pressure sensor. Do both as the both work together.

ya i was looking at the 146 one.. and the gm just looks alittle pricey and i dont like the idea of changing the inside of my dodge tranny to have gm parts in it.. ill prob go with the other one and i noticed they got something like a shift kit in there ill prob get both
