check engine light wont go off

Exclamation check engine light wont go off

my check engine light is on and ive gotten it scanned and it keeps saying "engine coolant temperature sensor high voltage". i just replace both the coolant temperature sensors and the light is still on. any ideas???

Is the temp sensor working? Will the scanner tell you what temp the PCM thinks the engine is?

I just had to replace my temp sensor and wiring harness for it. That cured my CEL. Mine is also a 97 5.2 2wd.

Ay, isn't this where your supposed to reset the computer? The whole disconnect the positive cable from the battery thing.?.?.?
