copy my sig. Add a perf trans, a mopar pcm, and hs 1.7rr's like ill have within a week and we can be best buds here haha jk. Welcome to dodgeforum man. Exhaust and intake or such weak points on these trucks stock. Headers and a 50 or 52 mm Tb will help open up more as well. 180 t stat, a sweet tune, and quality plugs and wires can wrap up the engines potential. Go above and beyond and get an m1 intake manifold or airgap, modded kegger, the HS 1,7 RR's, heads, cam, pistons, gears, trans, u joints, suspension, fuel pump and injectors, boring and stroking and well, it can be a big list. My advice if on a budget as I have been, start small and basic and see the gradual gains. My sig mods have been awesome thus far but i did research before i purchased. I wouldnt change one as of right now. Good luck!

You will love decent headers and a far superior breathing exhuast on there. trust me. My 318's low end was nice after i did it. just nudge the pedal a bit and the truck wanted to lift up at the front end like it was playing hopscotch. Of course not off the ground either though. Well, thats not the greatest example. Just remember some mods take from low and give to top and vice versa

unless you've got lots of money and the truck isn't your daily driver, id tend to shy away from supercharging.

you'll never catch me trying to supercharge my 408, and in not attempting to do so, she'll live a long healthy life.

If you do it right, and don't get silly with the boost levels, a forced induction motor can be just as reliable as a normally aspirated one. If you want to go beyond 4-6 pounds of boost, rebuilding with that in mind becomes a necessity. But, you still can end up with a motor that you can get a couple hundred thousand miles out of. (I have done this before. )

Yep, just keep the boost under six pounds, and it will still last quite a while. (provided the driver doesn't beat the crap out of it...... )

im with you although ive heard 408 strokers can last a couple years and go out of commision. To thin of cylinder walls for crazy power people build. Although I think the 408 stroker is a powerhouse to begin with without any forced induction. I heard this and i plan on boring but maybe just .30 over but thats down the road. best of luck again though to the OP. Might look into a 408 down the road too!

4.56 gears would be the best thing for noticeable power with those 34" tires provided you have stock 3.55 gears already.

With the couple things I've done to my truck, I gained the biggest power increase when I went from 3.55 gears to 4.10 gears.

Even if he keeps the boost below 7lbs-8lbs ( which is the recommended max for a 360 block with stock internals). Your still going to need a new tranny and rear, as both of them will not last long, from the factory. That being said, depending on how well your engine is kept (No offense to you but) I doubt its in perfect condition so you will blow a ring or throw rod, piston...what have you...eventually.

If your going to spend the money and put a blower one (be it turbo or supercharger) Do it once and do it right. Build your engine up ( at least mildly, it doesnt have to be crazy) and then get a proper blower or turbo ( Id go with turbo personally, but its all application really)

This is always, always, talked about. Search the forums, youll learn even more.
