Default anyone know what this is?

hey you guys i posted a thread up some time ago of what this box is so i finally took some pictures hopefully you guys can tell me what it is? its the little box that is bolted to the wheel well and there is the plug that plugs into it any help would be great thanks you guys

and another thing i dont have ABS i noticed that during the winter season when i would start to slide my brakes would not use the ABS they would just lock up

you do have abs, but just rear wheel if its a 94-97, 98 and up are 4 wheel abs.

No idea what the little box is, but, I DO know that the RWAL on these trucks is useless. There really isn't any point in having it at all.

Is that on the driver side? On my 95 I have a box mounted to the wheel well that looks like that, it's something to do with the airbag, like a sensor or something. Although the connector is different on mine.

If it's unplugged the airbag light comes on in my truck.

yeah i should have abs but i dont thats what im saying, when i would slam on the brakes on the ice all my wheels would just lock up no abs

ABS or not, I always pump the brakes when on slick surfaces.

yes it is on the driver side and when i bought the truck it was unplugged then when i plugged it in my bright signal would turn on in the dash then my headlights would not turn off

Yep, that is exactly it. Even on dry pavement, I can lock up the rears with no problem at all when unloaded. No ABS functionality at all, and mine supposedly "works"....... As I said, it's pretty much useless.

Could be a daytime running lamp module that's broken?
