Does the light come on indicating cruise has power? (not sure how that all works on the newer trucks....) If it is getting power, check the vacuum line from the cruise module, to the intake. If that looks ok, check the cruise module itself. (under the battery) They tend to get battery acid dripped on 'em, and stop working...

check for a broken vacuum line running under the battery tray up to the throttle body.

Cruise control is vacuum actuated. A leak in the vacuum line will keep it from engaging.

^ dry rotted/cracked vac hose under the battery tray was the problem on our jeep. i changed it last weekend and it fixed it.

also check fuse, brake light switch and clutch switch.

vwanddodge had to replace his steering wheel buttons. (i think)

follow the hard plastic vac line from the front of the TB across the top of the engine to the battery area. it'll likely have a soft rubber line for the last 6-12 inches. the soft rubber is 99% more likely to crack than the hard plastic.
