You will need a custom tune for that..... hemifever supports the sct tuner for the 96 model year trucks, may wanna contact him about that part.

What cam? Do you tow? Off-road? Drag Race?

300-350 RWHP is VERY hard. But if you are talking ENGINE only, there are TWO ways:

1. Here is the way to do it naturally aspirated with the stock intake (more torque than a stock hemi and only 20 less HP)
http://www.bionicdodge.com/bionic/in...p?topic=9197.0
Cost: About 3-4K

2. Turbo setup: CHEAPEST and easiest and more power than above
http://www.bionicdodge.com/bionic/in...p?topic=9467.0
That is on a BONE STOCK magnum with just a custom tune.
Cost: 3K

If you want to tow, go with #1. If you want to go faster, then go with #2. But you will still have a truck, and any regular car with about 220 HP will will blow your doors off.

that is not for a shade tree mechanic to do. Do you know what "plastigauge" is? If not, then you don't know what you need to do on every rod and rod bearing when doing that. That is like a COMPLETE engine rebuild and requires an engine pull.

Plus, that would not get you 300-350 HP at the crank let alone the rear wheels. i know 1700 looks cheap, but you have to consider getting a cherry picker, breaking down the engine, taking it to a machine shop to balance the crank, hone the cylinders and getting a gasket kit. Not to mention the 500 dollars in tools (at least) you will need.

i did not know all that.. i was thinking down the road taking my 360 into a 408. or a supercharger but all that is down the road. my concern right now is getting my shift kit with the governer preasure silanoid and sensor. and getting 410 gears with a rear end rebuild. after that then ill think of more to do.

I was thinking the same thing...once...until I looked at the procedure for changing a crank and pistons in a hayne's and chilton's manual. It takes a professional to do all that work.

Well i have a friend who was a mechanic for 30 yrs and he id my dads engine. So if i got the kit he would charge me around 600 for the build and install. Already own a cherry picker keep it at his house he uses it alot.
