a/c not working

Default a/c not working

So my ac doesn't work and noticed the compressor clutch is not engaging is there a way to test if its the clutch or somthing electrical

put a jumper wire in the low pressure switch, see if the compressor engages.

Thanks for the help oh stupid question but where is the low pressure switch and is there any specific wires to jump

its on the receiver/dryer up by the firewall. only two wires there, stick a jumper between them with the engine running, and my guess is, the compressor will engage. Don't leave it run too long that way, as it indicates the system is low on charge, and therefore, low on lubricant as well.....

if that doesnt work, check the fuses including the horn fuse.

Could it be a relay or should I just focus on the fuses

i just had the same problem and what it was is my lower horn was shorting out and blowing the horn fuse, i disconnected the horn and replaced the fuse and it started working. if you suspect its a relay just pull the ac clutch relay and swap it with one of the other relays( pretty sure there all the same but match the numbers)

Ill check that out my horn doesn't work so u may be right I hope so I love the stupid simple fixes

thats probably it then, crawl under the drivers side and look just behind the headlight and youll see two horns, disconnect one at a time to see which is bad. Replace fuse and youll compressor will kick on when you put the new fuse in
