abs/brake light on
Abs/Brake light came on the other day. Looked on the forum on older posts and one said to replace the rear abs/speed sensor on the rear axle. Replaced it today and unfortunatly did not fix the problem. Would hate to take it to the dealer because we all know they tend to break it off in your *** any chance they can. Any help would greatly be appreciated!
I also unhooked the battery to "reset " the computer but to no avail.

I have the exact same issue. Replaced the sensor this past weekend and lights are still on. I went to the dealership today to get the other end of the electrical connector and will try that. That is if I can figure out how to assemble it. For 55.00 they give it to you in pieces. Some assembly required, lol.
My truck has 2 wheel anti-lock brakes. Plan on taking off back drums to look at brakes. I myself replaced all 4 brakes about 4 months ago. Truck seems to stop real good with no obvious issues. Went to AutoZone today ,asked them if they read Abs codes and they said no,they did'nt. Is there any place that does besides the dealer?
Any indie shop that has a good scanner should be able to pull codes. They may or may not charge you for that little service......

Did you check the connector under the hood, mine was on and I could not figger it out for about a week, until I remebered I had to pull it to replace my shocks and it was only half in.

I'm having the same problem. My abs light flashes the whole time I'm driving. Truck is a 98 1500 2wd. Replaced the rear abs speed sensor with no difference. I get a little pulsation when I push on the brakes sometimes though. Any help would be great!
