Problem: Coolant smell from engine but no smoke or water in oil (see pics)

i had my water pump gasket fail and no coolant got to the ground. What happen it would not leak till it got the pressure built up then it had a slow leak and with the motor being hot it would puff gone!!!!

Ha yes it did. Especially when I thought about it more and realized that I wasted another 5 bucks in gasket and sealant and a trip into town (20+ miles round trip).
