Default Clicking from front end.

I have noticed lately a clicking sound coming from the driver side part of the front end. I can only hear it with the windows down and it starts around 25mph when I'm braking coming to a stop. Does anyone know what this could be? Possibly a ball joint?

Check your brakes. Inspect ALL front end parts for wear. Might be u-joint, or wheel bearing, so just something caught in the brakes.

Not always. I had the same sound and it was the u-joint.

I currently have a click when slowing down. I just identified that my shocks are junk and I need new ones. Maybe the same with you?

Make sure the lower shock mounts are torqued to 100 foot pounds and the tops are secure as well.

Have to check the manual, but the tops IIRC are something around 40 ft lbs, and you are right about the bottoms, 100 or a little more.

When mine clicked at low speeds, especially when turning or over small bumps, it turned out to be u-joints AND ball-joints.

To give a little more detail, mine only clicked when I would apply brake or going up a hill. I know the noise a axle joint can make. I have done mine and the ball joints. Mine started off as a rubbing sound, thought it was track bar. Did that, then ball joints because driver side upper was bad. Since winter is when the click started. Now I can put my finger through the coil and push on the center of the shock and push and I can hear the click faintly under a load I am thinking is make a snap/click sound.... (I have to have my window down to hear it too.) The the shaft has play, I did not install these so I have no idea the age or torque... I will be doing them tomorrow. I will update when I complete to be able to make sure my noise is completely gone.

But also if you have never done your axle joints that is probably it. I was just putting this out there.
