Default Smoke/Oil burning, valve seals?

Hey all, Been a while since ive been in here, but the truck has been great.

run into a small issue. think its the valve seals. if i let the truck sit overnight, i get a decent amount of white smoke out the tailpipes when i start it up. smoke for less than a second. never see any while driving or any other time. just on startup.

wont have cash to do engine work for a few weeks still, wondering if theres any cheap fixes i can do to temporarily help this issue.

ive been constantly checking my oil lever, and a month after an oil change it still on the full mark, so im hardly burning any oil at all.

couldn't it also possibly be a bad pcv valve? if you replace it make sure to buy one from the dealer because from what i have read the after market are prone to fail quick.

if it is white smoke, it is not oil (and not the plenum or PCV). That could be condensation in your cat that is turning to steam. Lots of water can also get caught in your muffler, and the smoke will take a while to stop.

If the smoke has a bluish tint, and smells like oil, then it is oil. But white smoke is basically steam and exhaust (which is also white). Usually means a leaky head gasket. But since it goes away, i am betting condensation in the exhaust or a leaky head gasket.

Could also be water in your gas lines.

If it's not burning hardly any oil at all it's probably not oil. How's the coolant look? Is it staying full?

The plenum job is a walk in the park. I did my gpas along with a timing chain in about 4 hours.

No issues with coolant. level stays full, truck doesnt run hot. had head gasket issues with an old dodge spirit, dont think thats it. and its def smoke out the tailpipes. def oil. can smell it for sure.

over the next couple weeks im doing the cap, rotor, plugs, putting a rollpan on, new tires and a trailer hitch. engine running fine so its gonna have to wait. from what ive found doing the plenum and valve seals is pushing 800$ at teh mechanic.

ill do shocks, starter, suspension parts, but i dont touch the engine lol
