Default Does anyone know......

Where a guy could by ATF+4 in larger containers than quarts, such as gallons or even a five gallon pail?

The reason I ask is that I am planning on doing a few fluid changes in the next few months, and I don't really want to buy a whole bunch of quart bottles. I have asked at Autozone and Advance, but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Advance Auto has it in gallon jugs. (for an arm and a leg, half your soul, first born male child, and your left nut.......)

I've never seen it in more than quart containers.

The Advance here in Big Rapids doesn't have it in gallons. I even asked, and was told they couldn't get it in anything but quarts.

Maybe I will have to go back in there and try again.

I buy mine on Amazon and it is way cheaper. 12 quarts of Valvoline for $70 comes out to $5.84 per quart which is about a dollar cheaper a quart than part stores.

If you have Amazon prime it ships for free in 2days.

Buy 4 quarts, and put it in a gallon jug...Zing! Instant gallon of ATF+4.

If I were you, I'd ask a reputable transmission shop where he (or she) gets their fluid from.

Smart ***.....

Now that you mention it, I do know the owner of a local quick lube. Maybe I could talk to him about getting a larger quantity. Even if I don't have him service the trans, at least he will still make a few bucks.

Might be worth a try.

Make sure he gets you ATF+4 and nothing else. A lot of those places sell an alternative, cheaper fluid, and claim "all you gotta do is add this additive to it, and its just as good as ATF+4". That is bogus, nothing but ATF+4 will do.
