Well, looks like they shuffled things between 99, and 01. Gee, I am so NOT surprised.... what ever happened to just a bit of consistency????? I know, I know, a lot to ask for.

Ok, you need a multimeter. (volt meter, or even just a test light.....)

Pull the fog lamp relay. Key on, engine off. (door closed, so it isn't quite so annoying..... leave the window rolled down though. Don't ask....)

Look on the bottom of the relay, and identify the pin numbers on the terminals. Figger out which one is which on the PDC. Those are the ones you want to test.

First one is pin 86. You should have 12 volts there. (assuming that the beam selector switch is set to low beam.)

Next is pin 30. That should also have 12 volts.

If you have a meter, just check for voltage. If you have a test light, ground the clip end of it, and probe the terminals in question in the PDC. Should light up.

Next, turn on the fogs. (no, with the relay out, they just won't work.)

On the PDC, pins 85 and 87 should both have continuity to ground. If you are using a meter, you want to check reisistance, (ohms scale) from the terminal in the PDC, to a good ground. Both of those should be zero. (no resistance.) If you are using a test light, put the clip on the positive terminal of the battery, and probe the terminals with the other end. The light should light up.

Do that. Let me know what ya find.

Most likely your problem is on the down wire from the Fog Relay to the light. Turn on your low beams and fog lights and check for power as high up under the drivers side Fog light wires as you can. Then go to the 2 wire harness on the front clip and check there, after that it separates to each side, so I would say the problem is before that harness just like mine was.

If the light comes on when you hit your fog lite switch, it is working. Of course, according to the diagrams I am looking at, that would also imply the relay is working...... I am thinkin' that the 01 has some serious differences from the 99.... but, the procedure above should still work.

My fog light indicator on the switch still doesn't come on but my fogs are working.

I would check that down wire for a short, my short was right under the radiator mount where water likes to drip off the radiator.

Ugh I give up T_T I don't have the money to afford a voltage tester device right now...Must be a short somewhere though....

Fuses are fine, relay is fine, switch is fine..

You can buy a test light for less than five bucks. It might not last long, but, better than nothing.

its most likely a wiring problem, seen it a few times where corrosion breaks the wire or connector. check for power and ground at the bulbs if there is none check for power and ground at the next connector (its located right in the center of the truck right behind the rad if you have power and ground there you know the problem is in the wiring so just fix the problem or rewire or just buy the fog light harness from the dealer but it will be $$$$ hope it helps, make sure you check them with the lights on. oh and if the fog light indicator comes on on the switch the fuses and relay should be fine.
