Default expected gain??

I'll be putting in my exhaust today (headers, y pipe etc) and im looking into getting A 52mm TB from fastman combined with the 1.7 roller rockers. Ive heard guys saying that the rockers do make a difference but how much of a difference is there? any body got any before/after dynos? also what do you guys think my gains would be to the rear with this set up (exhaust, rockers,TB)
Note: 93 SCT tune will be updated of course

With all of those tossed in there, you WILL feel a 'seat of the pants' improvement. Better throttle response, more low end torque, and rev a bit better. Kinda hard to put a number on it though.... somewhere between 10 and 50 would be my guess. (flywheel)

psssst.. I've neen copying the mods from your signature hehe.....LOL !!

i think I'll be able to use this next paycheck for the rockers and the TB, which will be my LAST paycheck used towards the engine/truck. since I'll be moving out to college to start my career (2D/3D drafting.)
I diffidently want to leave with these mods installed and having $600 of a budget, it will be the best bang for my buck...I hope. thanks guys.

I was actually just fixing to start a thread about the gains from 1.7 roller rockers before I saw this. I was also wondering the gains that would be seen from the rockers? Also will a more aggressive cam be needed if I do the rockers?

The rockers make you engine think you HAVE a more aggressive cam. You can more lift, and longer duration at .050 valve opening.

Nope you don't need a different cam. Basically the higher ratio rockers act like a bigger cam. They open the valves a little more just like a bigger cam.

So what is the advantage of getting rockers over a cam, or vice versa? Just price?
