yes they do same with the new toyota's, i was a toyota tech for a year and a half, way to cramped, engineers put a motor inside of a body the body just has to fit around the motor, and idk about the injector pulse, i am working at my parents house in the driveway, my father obviously doesn't trust me to be honest with how long it takes me but, i don't have my dmm down here, sooooo i am guessing though from not hearing the fuel pump kicking on, that it doesn't matter if i have injector pulse yet or not lol! Another thing is is the reader not connecting to the ecu idk i am lost

I think I would go back, and recheck all my connections..... Make sure ya didn't miss anything. Something is annoying the PCM.....
Stick your finger on the ASD relay, and turn the key on, you should feel it click.... it might click again in a couple seconds if you don't do anything else. Then try cranking the engine. If you got the second click, it should click again, if all is in order.

Oh. Whoops. That changes things.
Something is triggering the ASD relay. There is a section in the 01 service manual that talks about what conditions will trip it, but, I am not having much success finding it at the moment....... Gotta take the daughter to an appointment here pretty quick..... If you don't have the 01 service manual already, grab it from the FAQ section here. (PDF download.) See if you can find that part........

yes yes it does lol, i think i am going to go out and buy one its like 5 mins from my house, that way i can get it dirty and not my gfs computer dirty, and again i cant tell you how much i appreciate this help, i have always wanted a dodge 5.9, the ysound so good with some flows, but i hate the acheilles heel tranny! i might buy this one from my dad its a 96 ext. cab 5.2 but i might go out and get the 5.9 and stroke it, and maybe lower it and leave it alone.
