Default CEL Again!

So I replaced my O2 sensor and reset my PCM. Started up my truck this morning and as soon as I start moving my CEL goes off. I though, the sensor isn't even hot yet so that shouldn't be it

Hooked a scanner up to it and it said "speed sensor output" or something like that which I guess would explain why it lit up as soon as I started moving. Easy fix?

did you by chance jiggle, pull, twist, whatever- on that harness down there while you were pluggin' the o2 sensor in? you may have a bad connection...

but even so.. not too bad.. drop pan, drop filter, swap sensor..

It that sensor even IN the transmission? Doesn't it screw into the side of it somewhere between the trans, and t-case?

I think the 98's still had the sensor in the side of the trans/t-case (whichever) and the harness runs along with the O2 sensor harness.... it might just be loose. have a look, see if you can find the crazy thing, and make sure the connector is in tight.
