Default 95 Ram tech/mod questions!

Hey guys i am about to start collecting parts for my ram build.

Specs: 1995 ram 5.9 4x4
Only has the spectre cai and 2in coil spacers on currently. New moog trackbar, alternator, fuel pump, tensioner assembly and shocks.

Now i bought this truck for 2k and it just hit 150k miles and i am going to fix it up a little.

I currently have some DW from the front end. Planing on picking up a new steering box sway bar, upper lower control arm bushings, and a new steering damper. Truck been aligned and tires balanced. This should fix my DW, any other ideas?

Now for the fun stuff. On this truck currently it has a turn down after the cat and i want to change this but i had a few questions first. I want to take the current cat and muffler off as a assembly so i can swap between the summit cat back im getting and the one on it now [dont ask me why ]. Questions: do 95s have 2 o2 sensors or one? Will it throw a code if i just replace the part where the cat was with a piece of pipe?

A couple more questions before i go.

I am having trouble finding a electric water pump for this engine. Do they make them?

Also looking to put in a efan setup and remove the clutch fan, how powerful will the efan need to be to cool the engine?

Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions.

Future mods: electric cut off, flat bed, cb and antennas, 4.10 ring and pinion, treadwright guard dog 265 70 16, summit cat back, maybe some underdrive pulleys.

As you can see im building the truck to last for another 2 or 3 years before it goes. When it does go my uncle has 4 garaged bread trucks all with cummins 4bt's and the adaptor plates for a ford zf(?) 6 speed sitting in his garage.

Thanks again guys!

You only have one O2 sensor. You can rip everything off behind it, and it won't set a code.

An electric water pump isn't really a good idea for a street driven truck..... The just don't flow enough.

There are a couple really good threads on here for E-fans.... Lots of good information. Finding them might be fun......

I would be REAL tempted to talk your uncle out of one of them 4bt's......

I see you are doing a lot of cool stuff to your truck, and I hope it come's out the way you want. I just thought I'd point this out to you, as I do to others. Maybe you know, maybe you don't. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...um-thread.html

Thanks zman. Yea i researched a 5.9 swap into my dakota but didnt have the cashola at the time. Last weekend i helped my buddy do his water pump timing chain and plenum last weekend so i already have a jump start for mine here in a few weeks.

Im mainly building this truck as cheaply as i can without sacrificing to much quality. So far she runs and guns with the big boys now

SBAS Power Rack and Pinion Steering

That one always makes me giggle. For some bizzarre reason, I just can't find the rack and pinion unit in my truck. I wonder where they hid it......

Excellent base for an off-roader.
