Now I just looked at this wheel bearing replacement and it looks real easy. for the guys on here that have done this before it looks like all i do it jack the truck, pull the tire off, take the caliper off the rotor, pull the rotor off, then losen a nut that then the hub/wheel bearing (I'm guessins this is all one peace) pulls off. I just replace the hub/wheel bearing and then put the rotor back on, bolt the caliper back on, put the wheel back on and im done.

 

Never mind I was looking a 2 wheel drive that looks easy as ****. 4 wheel on the other hand

 

Its really not that bad. Getting the axle nut off is the hardest part..... that feller is torqued to something to the tune of 180 foot pounds....

 

Pussies. The castle nut for the rear drums on an old VW is torqued to ~230-ft/lbs.

 

I used a 3/4 inch drive socket, and a six foot breaker bar for those.

 

Torque Multiplier FTW! Works on the flywheel too.

 

Oooo, not THAT is a nifty tool. Wonder if it would work on dodge axles.

 

 

Harbor Freight sells a nice piece of chrome plated garbage that's supposed to be similar. I know someone who bought the HF tool and (surprise) it broke when he tried it.

The Torque-Meister fits 36mm axle nuts and at 30-ft/lbs on the torque wrench = 270-ft/lbs output. I'm betting an industrious individual could figure a way to make an adapter so it could fit the Dodge setup provided the axle nut on the Dodge is 36mm.

Trust me, I've removed the most stubborn axle nuts using this tool with minimal effort.

 

thats why I have an impact and also and 18volt dewalt battery power impact. that things has 300 ft lbs of torque.
