Default Road Trip

im getting ready to go on a little road trip up to michgan this weekend, just wondering what i should do before i go up, im going in for an alignment at 10 am, and i gotta change the oil and rear diff, maybe the trans? if there is anything else i should do please, let me know.

And another problem im having is i recharged the a/c and it was blowing cold for about a month, then my truck sat for a week, and now it blows hot air, any idea on what the problem is i cannot hear the compressor kicking on anymore either.

The AC most likely has a leak. That leak is probably the evaporator core.

Where in michigan ya headed??

Yep, do all the maintenance, make sure tires are at correct pressure, and all fluids are up to snuff.

When was the last time your trans fluid/filter was changed??

That should be fun.

Probably changing the fluid and filter wouldn't hurt......

okay, so i got to michigan and back no problem running wise, but did run into a couple problems while i was up there, one of the problems was i noticed on my throttle the cable has a good amount of play, is there a way to adjust it or and better off just buying a new cable, and my other problem is i had noticed a lot of oil inside my drivers wheel well so i opened the hood and happened to see that the top of the shock was soaked, so my question is did i blow it out? because it rode perfectly fine the whole way home. and what do you recommend for shocks? i plan on doing front and rear, and adding a leaf.

I'd by a new cable, I've seen some on here use some hose and a clamp or something down by the pedal.

The shock is blown if in fact it's from the shock. Make sure it's not brake fluid or something. Go to the FAQ section, the top sticky in there is a shock poll with info about what kind people use.

It's probably the master cylinder leaking.
