Default Vacuum line issue

hello, this is my first time here. Not sure if what forum I should be in. I have a 1996 Ram 1500 5.9. 4x4. I have a vacuum line that goes from the vacuum manifold across the engine and stops by the front of the battery. It looks like it broke off from somewhere but not sure where. anyone have an idea. thanks.

Welcome to DF. I moved your post to its own thread so that you can get some help.

Can you post a few pictures? It would be easier to tell what your referring too.

Wild guess though its the line that connects to the air cleaner box.

On mine, the vacuum line follows the throttle cable for the cruise control, and hooks to a port on the front of the throttle body. I think. I would go look, but, my truck is about 140 miles away at this point.

Would this cause the air conditioner not to work? It blows warm air out of the vents when I turn it on.

Nope. A/C is an entirely separate issue.

Well umm, maybe. If the blend door is not working it might blow warm/hot air. Does the compressor turn on?

OK? so I worded that wrong. I know the years between cable and electric motor for the blend door. Which I think you may know that from me? (cable adjustment per 98 FSM). Point is, the blend door might not be working. Hence the reason I asked if the compressor is running.
