Default Body lift install ?s

I just bought a 3in summit body lift. I was down looking at my truck to see what would have to be moved relocated or disconnected and relocated. But I got to looking at the brake lines how do you lift the body and not extend the brake lines at the master cylinder? I got the directions on the summit site and they don't say anything about the lines? Also it says I need to extend the auto shifter rod. Is true or can I just adjust it like someone told me? Any help you guys can give me would be great and any tips on the install also. Thanks

Brake lines: Most of these have a coil or two for some odd purpose, and you can just pull 'em to the right length.

For the shift linkage, leave it loose until you have everything bolted down, and where it is going to be after the install. Put the trans in neutral, and the shifter in neutral as well. If you don't need to do any modifications to make it work, don't worry about it.

From the little I know about the subject, from what I've read on here, 3"'s and up the lever needs to be extended.

The rod , I should say.

the only things you should have to extend are tranny linkage, transfer case linkage, and the fuel neck. other than that you just jack the body up real slow and listen for anything that sounds like it breaking. thats how i did both of mine and its really pretty easy...

I have installed a body lift before but it was on a 86 ranger 4 speed so there was on extending anything.
