rookie mistake
Today was my first day off in a month or so, so I decided to give the Dodge some much needed attention. Replaced plugs, oil, and track bar.
The problem: I did the track bar last, and was (and still am) moderately intoxicated. Turned the wheel with the track bar disconnected
. Now my steering wheel is cocked1/2 turn to the left when going straight.
Ideas on how to move my axle back over?

Warrantied out the Moog I replaced the original with.
So should I just adjust the drag link and call it good, or try and shift the axle back over somehow?

Unless there is a bit of slop in the mounting hole on the axle side, I don't think there is much 'adjustment' to be done..... You could try it..... just loosen up the bolt, turn the wheel, and see what happens.
Update: turns out its not my fault. The track bar orielly's gave me is in fact an inch and a half (or so) shorter. They are ordering another and measuring it against my other Moog (the one I warrantied out) to see what happened.
I've about had it. Might fab up my own and get my pipe welder buddy to put it together.

I knew something was not right. This issue has been coming up with others as well lately. And MOOG no less. Same thing with ball joints for a 1500 d44 that fit loose.

And to think, I've recommended Moog on more than one occasion. If I cant get a correct length track bar within 24hrs, I think they may have just lost a customer/supporter.
Its weird, same part number, same shape (contours, bends), but different length. There was a little message in the box that said (paraphrase): "This ball stud has been re-engineered to require more torque; a direct result of increased strength and longevity;" but it fails to mention the new torque specs. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I doubt that. But quality control is not up to par ,that's for sure. Maybe it's just boxed wrong and you got one for an Off Road edition or something. I don't think that's even specified when you buy one though.
Size might not be the only issue. My steering wheel was way off after i put in a new track bar a couple weeks ago. The new one was exactly the same size as the old.
The problem was that the chassis shifted slightly when I took the old one off. Had to finesse the steering alot while jacking up one side to get the frame end to fit. I figured the steering angle was screwed up from all my monkeying while the track bar was disconnected. I'm a total n00b.
Just had the shop straighten it when doing the alignment.
