My dodge restoration!
idk if oil gauge is bad tho. because thats only when it idles around 650 or 700 rpms or lower.... Didnt change oil yet. its about 98 degrees here so not a good idea yet. Fixed some rust on under carage area. And idea why it idles so low? its lowest is 500 rpms... i need some help from a mechanic person lol
err? Is the transmission gasket a metal one? I think that is bad. There is a big bump in it on the bottom and the tranny pan and a few other things behind that are covered in a black sledge nothin forward from gasket just the behind... will post a picture or 2 in a couple hours... And my bumper doesnt have them rod thingers for my knowledge... ?
Before i put pictures on here. I was messin around lookin at my truck... Took the oil cap off and cleaned it and put it back on there. Made sure it clicked 5 times and went for a lil ride. Well i have no idea why it idles so low (any info on this) and it worked fine no oil light came on when i was idling really low (650rpms) and then after 20 minutes it started again. When i cleaned the cap off, it didnt come one. Would that be a thing that would cause loss of oil pressure when idling?

This is a closer picture sorry for being blurry. It has 3 connections and only 2 are hooked up. I dont know where the other vacum line goes or if there is suppose to be one there?

How do i fix a seeping roof cloth doing it right? (tried lookin it up and info is etchy results on other sites)

This is the only brace on the side of the bumper. The brace is like 20 inches long. Could i remove the brace push sides up and then put it back on? is that what brace your talkin about or no?

One thing i noticed through goin under the truck is that every spring and shock is diffrent ones blue ones yellow one was red and one was black... Thats just wierd i goin to have to get some new ones so they match and work the same. Also i am missin bolts on my box to frame for some reason. Can someone tell me the size?

I am pretty sure it is leaking... Next picture is whats after the gasket and pretty sure thatll cause rustin really fast?

These are body spacers arent they? there hard rubber these seem to have a rubber rot going on ='[

This truck was suppose to have a rust free undercarage with some black material when the owner bought it from dealer(ikm the 2nd owner)... You can see how well this worked out and lasted 16 yrs...

Whats the best way to fix this crack on the door? The door metal is cracked...

This door was rlly bad pitted... used some body filler for the time being. Primed it and painted it with some auto rattle can pant (primer and paint is a automotive rattle can paint which works really good, i got it from target or maybe shopko idk anymore) lol took 1 can to prime and sand prime and then sand down again... and then the paint... well it worked somewhat well... itll do the job will i can paint the truck in school... Oh i got another question should i bead blast the doors and body pannels and apply any rust resistant paint/primer to it from bare metal?
Oh other news went to junk yard and went and got that one foam piece paid 1$ for it but rather have em on there idk when there for but o well lol. think there for a quiter shutting.
Who thinks i should replace the hood with a original hood or a different hood? if different post a pic or a link. There is alot and idk which would be better or looks the best...
But anyways I am always lookin for opinions what to do. I been workin everyday for 10 hrs so not to much time to work on the baby girl yet...

If you wanna replace that sagging headliner I got a replacement kit from autozone (same color) and make sure to buy the spray adhesive that it tells you!!!! Take off all the corner trim pieces and when you do it be very careful the top ones you need to slide TOWARDS the window. Take the dome light off take your Dash light and sunglass holder out take four screws out and slide it towards the center of the cab. then the whole roof piece you can take out. Rip off as much foam as you can then have two people hole the liner up in the air perfect while the other person coats the roof piece like crazy with adhesive then coat the liner side with adhesive, have two people stretch it across and the other push it down from the CENTER of the dome piece and smooth it outwards carefully while the other two hold edges up. Then wrap it around the edges cut trim stick it back up.

mine leaks like yours on picture 9 Its been that way FOREVER and i havent had any problems. Not sure where that leak is though if you find it let me know!. Definately replace the shocks. Sand and bondo up that crack, fiberglassing it would be better. If your is as old as mine then your almost certainly going to have to do the plenum plate argh you got some work man :P good luck. Heres me going crazy after 11 years and 200,000 miles. Maybe will help you out theres tons of pics!

Wow. Thanks everyone for the help =] the leak is from the tranny i think. Where the tranny connects to the motor? and for my knowledge its tranny fluid and dirt? So there is a big time difference to taking the plenum plate and puttin a aluminum one in. Theres people that do it in 3 hours and some take a whole day. Whats the average time to do that? I have pretty good knowlegde on working with vehicles just not alot. I can take it apart lable it ect ect then i know how to put it back together. Is it a one person or a 2 person job? And another question, im totaly new at paintin vehicles.... Do i want to bead blast it all the way down and then put some thing of a rust barrier then primer then paint?

Update....
Called local trusted jd auto lol They quoted me 350 for replacing the plenum and run a full diagostics on the truck (id buy new huges one and new bolts ect ect so theres like 150ish)... I think i will do that, they clean the intake manifold out and exhaust out to... so good deal? Id have them change the thermostat to since its right there...
Called auto glass again.. errr was suppose to do it today in the morning. Called them and they said once again sorry we cant do it again even tho i called last week and had another appointment scedualed... there doing it tomorrow at 8 in the morning is what she said... so hopefully they get there **** in line and do it. Its almost 3 weeks now and no new windshield yet...
