Default Help Stalling.... really frustrated with my ram

So in my other post about the fuel sync and dizzy I got it put all back together and it started first try. I sat let it idled check fluids etc it idled for about 15 minutes ran great but heres the problem it got up to operating temp and i went and hard wired some electric fans as soon as i hooked up the fans it died. I disconnected the fans and it wouldn't stay running at idle i had to hold it at 1500 rpms to keep her running. On the test drive everything went ok as long as i kept it over 1000 rpms but it died like 3 times, The last time it died it wouldn't restart and i tried starting fluid but it ran really sh!tty and sounded like really bad spark knock. The battery was kind of dead but none of these problems happened until after it was up to operating temp and when i hooked the fans up now it won't run even with the fans disconnected.

possibly the alternator isnt putting out the amperage it should at idle and the fans just push it over the edge. i would load test the alternator and go from there

I took the electric fans out of the equation didn't help still stalling out as soon as it is warm and dies as soon as I give it gas in reverse when cold but moves forward fine when cool until it gets to op temp

O2 sensor may be failing, it starts to effect fuel after it warms up.

It's also possible the alternator is on it's way out and can't handle the load from the fans. The alt charges the battery, but the battery takes the brunt of the load when the alt starts to konk out, and will push the system until it's depleted. After that, the system won't run.

Ok both the alternator and battery are good does this sound like a failing crank sensor to anyone?

Yes it runs amazing starts first try etc even with the fans running before the engine gets to operating which is why i don't think the fans are causing the problem. I think it was a freak coincidence that it died at the exact time i hooked up the fans. Like as soon as the truck is warmed up it starts bogging down won't idle etc

Disconnect the pre-cat O2 sensor, and drive it like that for a bit. (yes, it WILL set a code.) See if it runs any better. If it does, replace the sensor.

Ok I'll go do that right now. What should I do after that if it doesn't get better? Because before the 7 months of the truck being down the O2 sensor was working great I was averaging 16.9 at 55 on the highway. Can they just go bad sitting?

If the wind changes direction once too often, they can go bad....... Consider where they hang out. Not exactly a pleasant environment. (on either end of the sensor.)
