So what about the MAP sensor are those readings I posted normal or not scanner says 14.2 at idle can I do the same voltage test as I did on my TPS sensor by check voltage on middle wire

14.2 "Hg is probably right with an aftermarket cam. That's what mine is at. LSA has a lot to do with it,what is your LSA?

Pretty sure it's 114 I have to look it up to verify but I'm almost 100% sure it is

LSA is 114. I ordered some stuff for the truck and at the same time ordered a new coil, new iac valve cause mine keeps throwing codes, and of course another new TPS sensor. My friend with the scanner is away till Saturday so I'll have to see if his scanner will even work to set the fuel sync he said it was like 300$ from sears and can read obd1 and 2 so I'll have to wait and see on that

It is running way too rch I can clearly smell it in the exhaust and it hesitates very badly off the line the rpms drop and it sputters before it actually goes anywhere and I can still swear I hear a miss but according to the scanner it is not missing

I think it should be a bit higher than that, but I can't be 100% sure. The stock cam is on a 114* LSA I believe, and stock "Hg, is around 18. if the valve timing events are such that the exhaust valve hangs open longer than stock, then the engine vac will be lower.

These are the cam specs- 512/520 lift 208/214 duration at .50 lift and 114 LSA. Now with the exception of springs and retainers I am running the stock valve train. I have a shaft mounted adjustable roller rocker kit ordered from Hughes but the said the rock valve train should be fine with this cam. So could the whole problem be that it is holding valves open

Really? That's a pretty lumpy cam for the stock valve train.... I wonder if that isn't part of the problem.... cylinder leakdown test might be enlightening.

Yea it does seem big for stock valve train but I was on the phone with Hughes for almost and hour explaining my concerns about having a different base circle and such and they assured me the stock valve train would be fine I did a compression tst and made just shy of 11:1 with the flat tops so I know compression isnot a problem lol

11:1 should be your static compression ratio (which is a bit steep for a street driven truck...)..... did you run a test with a gauge?
