engine trouble need help!

I can use one at work but that would mean driving the truck there and taking the intake manifold off to get good access to the distributor and putting it back together and hoping I fixed the problem I have a good scanner for the obd-II port under the dash but no where under that does it say anything about the fuel sync procedures like explained in the service manual. The way the manual explains it it sounds like a completely different plug for a completely different purpose

It isn't going to change much.... may not be able to tell on the factory tach... also, the higher the idle, the less of a drop you will see as well.
I think if you disconnect the battery, and turn the key on, the IAC will run itself all the way in, and stay there till you start cranking. (I think.) So, do the PCM reset thing, turn the key on, and when the IAC runs itself all the way shut, turn off the ignition, and disconnect the IAC. This will set the engine to run at minimum idle. (which is adjustable.... stock I think is like 5 or 6 hundred RPM....... with your cam..... set it where it will stay running on its own, but, barely.)
With the engine running in that configuration, start disconnecting injectors again, one at a time. If an injector is working correctly, you should notice a difference when you pull the plug....... the engine may even stall.
