Is that Idle 800 RPM with the IAC port fully blocked off? If that is the case then that's way too high, your IAC counts are probably bottomed out and the PCM can't readjust to pull the engine down.

It Doesent seem to miss anymore at idle altho it really is hard to tell with my cam but I brought it up to about 2000rpm and it sounded kind of rough I can also clearly smell fuel in the exhaust and I still can not get the engine to run past 3500rpm even if I hold the peddle to the floor, does this sound like a fuel sync problem or not. I put the didtributor tabs at 9:15 and 3:15 with the square tab to the left as a base setting and it did not help

Check that the TPS is install correctly. (might just take the damn thing off, and make sure it isn't stuck too....)

Check something really easy for me.

is the throttle cable under the guide on the linkage of the throttle body?

Are you 100% you have the plug wires correct on the distributor? 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. Keep 5&7 as far from each other as you can.

If all that's correct, I still think it's fuel sync.

I'm gonna pull the TPS now and check it out. Aim4 the cable is run under the guide on the throttle body and the firing order is right I just double checked to be sure

I pulled off the TPS checked to make sure it spins and put it back on still says it's at 100% throttle at idle so now it's really pumping in alot of fuel

Gonna have to replace that..... unplug it, and make sure it goes to zero, just to make sure there isn't a short in the wiring.

If it isn't too old, see if you can't get it warranty replaced.

Send some of that rain this way please.
