Default i want more power!!!

ok so I have a 2000 1500 4*4 with the 5.9 360, auto tran.. ( not sure what tranny exactly). so what im looking for is a tuner, chip, flash, whatever, that will give me more hp and tq. I am already in the procress of getting a TB spacer and doing a full tune up on it. Im also freshining up on my tig welding skills cuz i want to make a dual intake for my truck rather that just a single. Im making my own exhaust, and ill buy headers ( maybe). so you guys that have chipped, tuned, flashed your 360, which one gives you the best bang for your buck....

P.S.... I have a family memeber that runs national parts warehouse... called Factory Motor Parts.. i get her discount... IE less than $200 for a/c compressor. So if anyone needs something i can try and get it for ya.

First thing would be to check for a plenum leak. If you do all that upgrading and have a bad plenum, it's all for not.

^^^ what he said, and then get a sct tuner and get rid of the death flash on the computer since urs is a 2000 im gonna say it has it, since most 2000-2001 has it. that will give u the biggest bang for the buck between those 2 things.

For starters, do more research before you toss your money in the trash can....Lot's more.

If you had, you would know the TB spacer is worthless.

TB spacer is not the same as a TB
Google Death flash or do a search on here.
Do a search on here for Plenum.

Where's the face palm smiley?

Not being a jerk, but everything you are asking has been beat to death on here, and every other Dodge Truck forum since Al Gore.

TB spacers, really only "work" on TBI and CARBS. Direct inject they work as paper weights.

Death flash Dodge was getting complaints about pinging because of the crap *** plenum setup, instead of fixing the cause they issued a TD to retard the timing to get rid of pinging.

Get in touch with http://www.hemifevertuning.com/ for a tuner. He has the best reputation around the interwebs for our trucks.

Go here http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/index.php for the New Plenum plate. mostly once you do it with these parts it is a one time fix. you can also get your new intake from here.

You have a 46re transmission. It sucks. if you have the money go here http://www.transmissioncenter.net/ in the end you will spend about the same rebuilding the one you have with upgraded TC and clutch packs.

ok so I checked my ecu like you guys said and I do have the death flash. I looked into the SCT tune you guys recomended, but the site is saying it doesnt sell the tune its self and I dont have a dealer anywhere near me. A buddy of mine has a superchips tuner ( think thats what it is anyway) that I was going to try and use but wanted to see what you guys thought of these tuners.

You have to buy a tuner, so you have the right tool to write to your PCM. Right? (sorry, couldn't resist.) Hemifever Tuning will sell you the tuner, WITH three tunes, for 265.00. If you don't see what you are looking for on his site, call him, and have a chat. He can set ya right up.

Most tuners won't allow use on multiple vehicles, unless the initial vehicle is set back to stock to 'unlock' the tuner.
